I am the proud owner of Mike . He was born with 4 legs ;but is missing his rear left paw. The vet says that the cord wrapped around and effected the development. He gets around well and climbs steps to come upstairs. As he ages he is becoming less active as he tires when I take him for walks. He is on acontrolled diet but due to inactiveness has become very over weight . Is this a good reason to have him evaluated for a prosthetic extension/foot Please share

Thanks everyone :) His best friend Morel has kind of gotten the short end of the stick the past few months, and has been really patient -- we're making up for some of that now. She's really a great comfort.

This is truely a great story. For many reasons, one being the age. I am interested in knowing what form of cancer. Bailey (my wonderful and full of happiness and energy Golden) had a CT last week. It is suspected as being synovial sarcoma. The strange thing is, Bailey doesn't seem to know that there is something which is not right in her left hind leg. She is happy, walks faster than me, and still likes to run and swim. Her blood work looks great. So besides being in shock, I am so confused. Aslo we have received two different opinions from two different surgeons as far as what the treatment should be. So my husband and I are not going for a third opinion. So besides loving to hear great stories such as yours, I am also in search of information/help. Thank you.

I was one of the lucky drivers that helped transport Barnaby to the rescue he is in now. I just wanted to add what a great dog he is. This was a short time after
his amputations. He was so loving and friendly and active. He did great with the
8 other dogs (all sizes!) on the transport. He played at the transfers and interacted
with all of us - again, all ages, children included. If you a looking for a young, active great companion, please consider Barnaby. He will give you a lifetime of love. Susan R, a very grateful transporter
